The oligarchy has adopted a new weapon in our current culture war which I must admit is effective and brilliant in the short and medium term. It will turn out to be catastrophic and self-defeating over the longer term. Time will tell.
There is no specific term for this strategy that has entered the popular vernacular yet but some commentators in the U.K. are calling this “financial non-personing”. Some are beginning to use the term “de-banked". Essentially, an individual is stripped of all of his or her financial services by their institutions and are rejected by others banks. In the case of Canadian trucker protesters, they lost access to their own money. Banks deny any collusion but few are dumb enough to believe that deception. Victims cannot engage in basic banking services such as borrowing money, buying products online or purchasing food with a debit card. The customer cannot even withdraw cash in some cases. Of course, the victims of this don’t get to stop paying their mortgages.
While murderers, rapists, pedophiles, BLM, Antifa grifters, drug dealers and arms merchants have escaped the wrath of self-righteous politicians, at least until they were actually charged let alone convicted, politically active conservatives, populists and libertarians who criticize the regime can see their lives essentially ruined.
The latest victim of this mean spirited and sadistic abomination to our basic human rights is British nationalist icon, Nigel Farage. Farage is the individual most responsible for the U.K. leaving the E.U. Farage had spent most of the last few years as a broadcaster for GBNews, a new and more conservative news channel. He recently won what was basically the people's choice as Britain’s favorite TV host. The regime sought vengeance.
This totalitarian strategy entered public consciousness at the time of the Freedom Convoy in Canada. Canada never seems to lead the world in anything positive. Protestors found themselves cut off from their own money without any trial or conviction for any crime. Trudeau's hench woman, or is it hench person, Chrystia Freeland gloated on live television when she pulled what was effectively, a financial Kristallnacht on protestors. Freeland is the poster girl for the WEF and an avid supporter of the Azov Battalion in the Ukraine which has a fondness for Nazi symbols, if not ideology. Pro tip: if you don’t want people to think you’re a Nazi, maybe you should pass of choosing the Swastika tattoo. Although no one is responsible for the sins of their ancestors, Freeland's grandfather was an enthusiastic Nazi. Totalitarian thuggery seems to part of her genetics. However, in fairness, her demeanor comes across more like a condescending Central European elitist and anti-Democratic aristocrat that pre-dated World War I, than a populist Fascist. She is, in demeanor, less of a Mussolini and more of an inbred Hapsburg.
The banks are an integral part of the corporate socialist oligarchy. Fortunately, the pushback led by Nigel Farage, Britain’s greatest politician since Margaret Thatcher, is working and the banks have backed down; for now. Banks in western nations should be careful. Interest rates are rising putting pressure on their profit margins. Loan demand for qualified borrowers is declining and credit quality is falling faster than movie studio profits. Opportunist politicians may turn on bankers and make the regulatory environment a lot tougher if public resentment of the financial system gets any worse. Frankly, they will likely need more bailouts in the next couple of years. Voters may be less tolerant of senior bankers walking away with tens of millions of dollars from broken banks than they were in 2008 during the Great Financial Crisis. And let’s not forget that taxpayers ultimately paid the price.
People need to push back against the de-banking trend regardless of political leanings. Eventually, the opposition comes to power. If conservatives, libertarians, and others who do not accept the corporate socialist/cultural Marxist establishment can have their lives so egregiously harmed without consequence the regime’s supporters should not expect naive mercy when they lose power.
Individuals and families need to lower their exposure to being de-banked. If possible, avoid financial institutions who have voluntarily chosen to harm people as is the case in Britain. In nations like Canada, where banks are compelled to comply with the authoritarian inclinations of the political leadership, reduce exposure to banks. There are alternatives in some areas. If you can, keep some wealth outside the country. Trusted relatives and friends outside your home country can help you and you can help them if their home nation pulls a Trudeau. Keep cash on hand and properly hidden; at least enough to buy groceries for a few weeks. Keep a supply of a few weeks non-perishable food. Although I had and have a low profile, I felt relieved to have had a couple of months supply of food in my home when Freeland announced her financial assault against the truckers.
